6 Ayurvedic Ways to Treat Acne

Turmeric: Make a paste of turmeric powder with water and apply on the skin. Once dry, rinse and pat dry. You can replace water with honey for dry skin. Tulsi/Basil: It is available in every Indian house, you can apply it daily, the leaves can be crushed in a pestle and boiled with a cup of water to make basil tea. Allow it to cool before applying it to the affected areas. Crush the leaves and boil with water, steam the face for 10 minutes. This not only opens the pores for deep cleansing, but also sloughs off dead cells and expels toxins from the body.

Honey and Lemon: Mix equal amounts of honey and freshly squeezed lemon juice and apply it on the affected area. Leave on for ten minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Potatoes: You might not know it, but potatoes are useful for treating acne, fighting bacteria and giving the skin a natural glow. Slice thin potato discs and gently massage your face with them. Be sure to use another piece of potato disc on different parts of your face to prevent the spread of bacteria.

Neem leaves: If you have access to fresh leaves, they should be ground into a soft paste and applied to get rid of acne scars. Wipe after 10-15 minutes with tissue paper soaked in lukewarm water. Neem offers anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral activity. Neem works against both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, which helps you treat acne.
