A little background: If I’m honest, my whole skin journey deserves its own novel (or more precisely, a melodramatic soap). But to save you the theatrics today, I’m going to provide you with the CliffsNotes version. I struggled with acne in my teens and into my early twenties. After trying just about every antibiotic and cream on the market, I decided to take an Accutane tour.–the big guns of acne treatments. Even after Accutane I still experience hormone and stress flares from time to time and use prescription retinoid cream.
In its most natural state, my skin is quite oily, but using a retinoid cream dries it out considerably. So now I would say I have combination skin. Going into this review my main concerns were acne, dryness, scars and fine lines caused by said dryness. You will notice in the previous photo that I previously dealt with a few pimples here and there, dryness and a few dusty brown spots. While the product doesn’t necessarily market itself as a featured acne treatment, I was curious to see if it might help with rashes given its very advanced formula.
