Keke Palmer becomes aware of her skin problems.
The “Nope” star posted a candid, makeup-free Instagram video on Wednesday, sharing the current state of her complexion and asking why doctors have yet to “cure” adult acne.
“I was just thinking about how amazing plastic surgeons are, okay? They can do you breast work, above the muscle, under the muscle, liposuction, tummy tuck, BBL, they can even implant muscle, I mean, the list goes on,” the 28-year-old Palmer began.
“But they don’t know how to lighten someone’s skin? All these years and all these inventions, don’t you know how to take the beautiful skin off my ass and put it on my face?
The “Hustlers” actress was quick to express her exasperation, continuing, “I’m sick of it. I’m done with it. People here with adult acne are struggling, and you haven’t found that cure? I’m finished.”
Palmer took the point further with his caption, writing, “We want the QUICK FIX too… My girlfriend was discharged from the hospital with a DONK the same day. I also want INSTANT results… Plastic surgeons, y’all wanna know where the real money is? IN THE ELIMINATION OF ACNE.
In 2020, Palmer revealed that she had been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, which often causes acne as well as facial hair. At the time, the “Alice” actress said her skin was “so bad that people in my field offered to pay me to fix it. I tried EVERYTHING.”
Palmer said neither the Accutane nor the dietary changes helped, adding, “My skin has made me sad for many nights but I don’t give up…MY ACNE HAS NEVER STOPPED ME.”
Shortly after, the star shared her “extreme acne makeup coverage tutorial” on social media, which included a number of different concealers, foundations and powders.
“Everything can be covered up except an ugly heart,” she joked at the protest.
