For starters, the first step in skin care is cleansing and for teens this is no exception. Make sure to wash your face twice (morning and evening). Always follow this order – face wash, toner, and moisturizer.
Now, another mantra in skin care is to stay hydrated. This is because it helps increase the elasticity of your skin and keeps it hydrated for longer. So try to drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Also incorporate seasonal fruits and vegetables such as cucumber, watermelon, tomatoes, etc. in your daily diet.
It is also true that since it is extremely hot outside, you prefer to stay indoors with the air conditioning on. But even when you are at home, use sherbet or body butter on your body after taking a bath or before going to bed at night. However, in adolescence, avoid fatty products as they can cause acne breakouts on the skin.
Even if you plan to go out, don’t do it without sunscreen. In addition, your lips can easily dry out and lose moisture. So always keep lip butter, infused with the power of fruit or superfoods, in your bag and use it frequently when lips are dry.
In addition, it is just as important to take care of the skin around the eyes. Use ice or eye compresses if you experience puffiness. Also, limit watching TV or using cell phones all the time. Since teens have young and immature skin, they should only use natural products to keep the skin naturally hydrated. Never use harsh chemicals on your skin. It is also important to know your skin type, then only you will be able to take care of your skin properly. So, don’t waste time and identify your skin type to develop the perfect skincare routine.
